Exclusive: #RHOD Stephanie Hollman Interview

Stephanie Hollman/ Bravo NBC
Stephanie Hollman/ Bravo NBC

Hold on to your Cowboy Hats, cause the premiere of The Real Housewives of Dallas is just ONE WEEK AWAY! As many of you know by now, I’ve been interviewing several of the Dallas Housewives and up next on the list: Stephanie Hollman! Originally from Oklahoma, Stephanie is described by Bravo as the Texas “girl next door”. She and her husband, Travis, live in a beautiful home on the golf course of The Four Seasons with their two young sons. Stephanie leads the charitable contribution efforts for her husbands family company, Hollman, Inc. When she’s not busy with that, or being a mommy; Stephanie can be found popping bottles of champagne(or atleast trying to, you’re gonna have to wait and watch to understand this one!) with long time BFF and fellow housewife Brandi Redmond, or going on a little shopping spree. Read my exclusive interview with the Dallas blonde Below:

How did you end up on this show(The Real Housewives of Dallas)?
A good friend of mine, recommended Brandi and I to the casting agent. The process was fast and fun. We knew within a few months that we were selected.

Was there any hesitation in doing the show?

I was a little nervous to put myself out there. I am a people pleaser by nature and very non-confrontational. I didn’t know if I could navigate the drama well. However, I love my friendship with Brandi and Cary. I have an amazing family. I was excited to show those parts of my life. Travis has worked in the entertainment industry and was very supportive. He was an Executive Producer for a movie called “Rain”. Faye Dunaway starred in the show. Leeanne had a small role in his film. Travis also worked with Mark Burnett on an MTV show called “Bully Beatdown”. He is adventurous and pushed me to go for it. I can honestly say that Travis believed in me before I did when it came to this show.

What, was your connection to this group of ladies prior to the show?
Brandi and I have been best friends for almost 10 years. I think I fell in love with Brandi before Travis. We got pregnant together, raised our children together, celebrated exciting things in each other’s lives and sat on the floor and cried with each other. She is like a sister to me. Her friendship is a blessing from God. I met Cary Deuber at a charity event she chaired. The event was so well done. I reached out to congratulate her over social media and we just hit it off. Cary surprised me. She seemed so confident and serious at her event. However, she invited me to a movie night with her and I saw that she was so cool and laid back. She is loyal and honest. We have become close friends. We actually share a trainer on Tuesdays, we push each other. It’s fun!

What was the VERY first scene you filmed and what was running through your head as the cameras were rolling?

The very first day of filming was like a personal horror story. I had both boys at home with me. Brandi came over and hung out. I had to prepare dinner while juggling my friend, husband and two demanding children. When the cameras left, I cried for two days straight. I kept thinking and worrying about anyone in America I might have offended. Travis was great and told me that I have to give myself permission to be myself. The next time I filmed, I just went for it. I acted goofy with Brandi and just had fun with it. I figured the people who love me will still love me if I’m myself and the people who don’t like me are entitled to their opinion.

Is there anything in particular that you’re MOST looking forward to having the Viewers see?

As crazy as it sounds, I am looking forward to people seeing the real side of my life. I am a wife and mother who struggles to juggle house, children, carpool and everything else that goes along with it. I hope women can look at me and see that it’s ok to not be perfect. I’m a ding dong and put me with Brandi and it gets interesting real fast. I am excited for people to experience our friendship. It’s strong and fun. I think it’s different than anything the fans have seen. I hope we make people laugh and realize that life is short; have fun, embrace it and yourself.

Stephanie Hollman and Brandi Redmond/ Instagram
Stephanie Hollman and Brandi Redmond/ Instagram

Did you feel any pressure to look your best for the cameras?

I leave the house looking like a mess daily. I have two boys to get ready for school in the morning. Our day starts early because we have a forty minute drive to their school. Getting them dressed, fed and organized is my priority in the morning. I take care of myself once I get home from carpool. I put on makeup and tried to fix my hair as much as possible while filming. I made sure to keep up my hair appointments. I have an online shopping problem that may have escalated during the process. But, I am not that girl who feels like looks are everything. I would rather be that girl who gets prettier as you get to know her because of her personality.

Your Bravo Profile mentions some of the many charities you work with, if you were asked to join Celebrity Apprentice what charity or foundation would you play for?

I would definitely do Celebrity Apprentice, if asked. I love raising money for charity and I am pretty good at it. I would play for the “Family Place” which is the largest domestic violence agency in Texas. I have worked with and known many women who have dealt with family violence. My passion is to provide support and have a voice on this cause that so many are uncomfortable talking about. As a mother of two young boys, it is important for Travis and I to lead by example. My boys will be raised knowing that domestic violence is never ok. It is my hope that they will be strong advocates of The Family Place, and prevention of family violence, as well.

If you could join the cast of any of the other locations in the Real Housewives Franchise, which would it be? Why?

I am obsessed with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and would join that cast. I love everything about California and would definitely consider living there at some point in my life. However, I would first have to talk Travis into it.

If you could be another Housewife for a day, who would it be? Why?

I am OBSESSED with Erika Jayne at the moment. She is cool, kind and gorgeous. I would love to spend a day in her shoes, because let’s face it, she has some amazing shoes.

If you could, what destination would you pick for the cast trip next season?

I love to travel. Travis has shown me the much world since we met. This has been an amazing gift. I would love to go to Croatia. That would be a dream come true. Make it happen, Andy Cohen.

What is it that you are LEAST looking forward to see on the show?

There is a scene where I emotionally lost it. Seriously, I could not stop crying. I had never been treated so poorly by someone in my life and for no reason. It just really felt bad and broke my heart for the person who did it. I knew she had to be hurting and lost to act out in such a manner.

Is there anyone that, while filming; surprised you with their actions and/or behavior?

You have no idea. Being surprised by someone’s actions was the gift that kept on giving this season. It was a little stressful and sad seeing the way people treated each other, at times.

Let’s play a little game of Word Association! Give me a word or two to describe each of these ladies:

Brandi Redmond: funny, kind, everything
Cary Deuber: smart, witty, loyal
Tiffany Hendra: empowering, artistic, kind
Nene Leakes: strong, sassy
Ramona Singer: entertaining
Vicki Gunvalson: trailblazer
Marie Reyes: authentic, warm, classy
LeeAnne Locken: loud, outspoken

What have you been up to since filming wrapped and the show was announced?

My life is like the “Groundhogs Day” movie. I take care of my children and family, do charity work and travel. My weekends are spent as a soccer, basketball or T-ball mom. Spending those precious moments with my boys is heaven for me. With or without the housewives franchise, my goal and focus will always be my family.

Stephanie and Travis Hollman with sons, Chance and Cruz/ Stephanie Rose Photography

If asked to do another season of the show, would you do it?

Yes, if I feel like it was a positive experience and if I had my family’s blessings. With or without the housewives franchise, my goal and focus is my family. I never want my boys to grow up thinking that I chose a reality show over them. If I ever feel like my children are being negatively affected by my career I will walk away, no questions asked. No job will ever be as important as my job as their mother.

Be Sure to tune into the Season one premiere of The Real Housewives of Dallas, Monday, April 11 at 10; to catch Stephanie(who you can follow on both Twitter and Instagram @stephhollman) and the whole gang up to their Dallas fun and drama!

Exclusive: #RHOD Marie Reyes Interview

Marie Reyes/ Bravo NBC
Marie Reyes/ Bravo NBC

Andy Cohen shocked Bravo viewers back in 2015 when he announced not one, but TWO new Housewives shows that’s would be premiering in 2016. Potomac, which premiered in January; was an instant ratings hit. Up next… DALLAS! I recent had the pleasure of catching up with Offcial ‘friend of the housewives’ Marie Reyes and get her to spill about the upcoming show, which premieres Monday, April 11.

Why Dallas? Why do you think it is the perfect new location for Housewives?
We have southern charm with flare – I always say Dallas is more LA than LA!
It’s also such a friendly place. Recently a gay couple relocated from England and came in for Botox. They commented how in this last year in Dallas they have made more close friends than in the previous 10 years spent in their area of London.
There is no shortage of great food! I’m pretty sure we have more restaurants than people – don’t quote me on that…but we do.
We are also home to professional teams of every sport – not many cities can say that.
It is a great business city, too! Perhaps the reason Toyota, Frito Lay, JC Penny, Dr Pepper, Southwest Airlines, Kimberly Clark, TI, American Airlines, Exxon, Galderma Pharmaceuticals, and Mary Kay are all based here.
Not to mention the cost of living is very affordable which almost makes up for the terrible summer heat, lol!

What, if any; was your connection to this group of ladies prior to the show?

This will play out gradually over the season, but it would be silly to not say LeeAnne and I have known each other for a long time(19 years) – we met at a modeling job. Tiffany I have known through LeeAnne, and I thought it would be fun to do a project together no matter what my role. I wanted to support my friends and share the experience.
Did you feel any pressure to look your best for the cameras?
On camera, or in life? lol!
There is always pressure to look my best – but let’s be real, this is Dallas and we wear makeup to get coffee in the morning. I didn’t feel much more pressure than normal. I will admit, though, I tried to always keep in mind what I was wearing hoping it would translate over to film.

Marie Reyes and Brandi Redmond/ Instagram
Marie Reyes and Brandi Redmond/ Instagram

Seeing as you came in knowing some of your cast members, Did any of them surprise you once the cameras started rolling?
Everyone surprised me at one point or another; however, I felt like everyone stayed pretty true to who/what I thought they were as a first impression.
It bears mentioning, Brandi used physical humor unlike anyone I have ever known! She is so uncensored and it.is.amazing.

Angel and Marie Reyes/ Instagram
Angel and Marie Reyes/ Instagram

What was running through your head during the VERY FIRST scene you filmed and what was it like having the cameras there?
I remember feeling surreal and almost like a dream.
My first scenes were of my husband and my daughter – it was just normal life. It was hard to comprehend the scope of the project or what was really going to happen. It became real when Andy Cohen announced a new Dallas show about 3 weeks into filming. The cameras were everywhere but as the season went on I noticed them less and less.
Your Bravo Profile mentions some of the many charities you work with, if you were asked to join Celebrity Apprentice what charity or foundation would you play for?
Great question! Wow, I guess when it comes to the competition shows I imagined I would be best suited for Dancing with the Stars! Not sure how they would find me a partner that is tall enough, lol! I would have to say American Cancer Society.

If you could join the cast of any of the other locations in the Real Housewives Franchise, which would it be? Why?
Beverly Hills, for sure! We love California and spend a considerable amount of time in the LA area. The ladies on that show really know how to bring it while staying classy. I love that about them.

If you could, What destination would you pick for the cast trip next season?
Uruguay. Specifically, Jose Ignacio near Punta del Este. It is so magical, beautiful, and unspoiled by commercialism. It’s both rich in natural beauty and luxury.

Stephanie Hollman, Marie Reyes, Cary Deuber/ Instagram

Let’s play a little game of Word Association, give us a few words to describe these ladies:
Brandi Redmond: Fun, Playful
Stephanie Hollman: Authentic, supportive
Cary Deuber: Type A, witty
Tiffany Hendra: Creative, driven
LeeAnne Locken: Intense, uncensored

Who would you say you came in to the show closest too?
Certainly LeeAnne. We have lived less than a mile from each other for roughly 14 years and been friends for 19. Tiffany, too. I have known her through LeeAnne for about 15 years but only saw her sporadically when she flew in for visits from LA.

Who would you say you left the show closet with?
The miracle of the process I guess is that I became very close to Cary, Stephanie and Brandi.

What have you been up to since filming wrapped up and the show was announced?
There really wasn’t time for rest. I had been working on a new skincare line called RAGS2Riches even months before we began filming. Because I am obsessed with skincare and the science behind topical ingredients and penetration, I have been very hands on with the formulations.
Let’s just say I went a little cray on this project but I am SO incredibly excited about the release. Basically, I can’t accommodate the whole world at SkinSpaMED, but I can help aging skin on a cellular level with the RAGS2Riches product line. I’m a fan of keeping it simple. RAGS stands for retinol, antioxidants, growth factors, and sun protection. If you just use these four products each day you are covering 95% of what you really need for radiantly youthful and beautiful skin. We plan to add a few more products in the near future, you know, when I have the time.

If asked, would you do another season of the show?
Absolutely, yes. I wouldn’t want the story to go on without me being a part of it. In future seasons, I see myself taking a bigger role and opening up more and more with my personal and professional life. Life is a journey, and I’m here for the long run. I have longevity genes on both sides – my grandmother is 102 (103 in May), and I just don’t want to look back when I’m 102 and ever wonder “what if”. I strive tonever lose the courage to always take the road less travelled.

There You Have It! I loved chatting with Marie about premiere season of the upcoming Bravo show(which, again; begins airing April 11th) and think it will be a huge success! Be sure to Follow Marie on Twitter(@TheMarieReyes) and Instagram(@TheMarieReyes) as we think this southern beauty will be a fan favorite and has a great chance of being given a full time role for season 2.

Exclusive: What to expect from the #RHOC Season 11 Premiere!

The Real Housewives of Orange County/ Bravo NBC
The Real Housewives of Orange County/ Bravo NBC

Get ready to put nine lemons in a bowl, because our favorite OC ladies return for the eleventh season of Bravos Hit Show that started it all: The Real Housewives of Orange County! From Yacht Parties, to Facelifts and from Scandals, to lies; the premiere episode has it ALL! Here’s what to expect from each of the ladies when the show returns on Monday night…

image

Shannon starts the season wanting to make one thing clear: she’s done with the affair! As for whether this will stick or not remains to be seen. This doesn’t mean smooth sailing for the Beadors, who put their Crystal Cove Mansion back on the market. David and Shannon now struggle with where to move the family and how to manage their daughters who, as they grow up; are getting more and more out of hand. In terms of her place in the group, Shannon seems to be all buddy-buddy with her season nine enemies Heather and Tamra while having no interest in entertaining former BFF Vicki Gunvalson.

image

Tamra‘s back, but not much has changed or happened since we last saw her. We find out on the premiere that Tamra is training for some sort of fitness/body building competition that will be featured sometime later into the season. For now, Tamra is celebrating her three years with husband Eddie and continues to focus on her Fitness studio. However on the preview for episode two we see some issues with her son and his family life get introduced as Tamra goes against eddies wishes by getting involved while trying to help. When it comes to the other ladies, Tamra’s good with everyone and is more open to welcoming On again/Off again bestie Vicki back into the group.

image

Heather returns with a new mindset. During the off season, her husband had a major health scare that they’ve been dealing with privately. Thankfully it was something that really ended up being nothing and together they plan a yacht party to celebrate his well-being with those closest to them. While its made them stronger, she wishes he would cut back on his busy schedule and spend more time with the family. Terry’s health scare makes her want to move on from last years drama with Vicki and opens her up to new beginnings, but she struggles with not wanting to rock the boat by upsetting Shannon by bring Vicki back into the group.

Meghan King Edmonds/ Bravo NBC
Meghan King Edmonds/ Bravo NBC

Meghan‘s next, and there seems to be a few new things and changes for her. She and Jim purchased a new home in Newport and have started renovating it while also making the decision of expanding their family by having a baby together through IVF(because Jim had a vasectomy but froze his sperm). But just as Renovations start and Meghan begins the IVF process, Jim leaves for Florida where he is now coaching the Cardinals training; leaving Meghan to do all these things alone. To have someone to lean on, Meghan brings her mother to the OC and Relies on new friend Kelly; both of which have gone through the IVF process and offer their support.

image

There’s a new girl in town, and this one is setting off waves! Kelly, a wife and mother; is introduced as someone Meghan can rely on for a little fun and company while Jim is away. A fun girl from Scottsdale, Kelly used to vacation in southern California as a child and dreamed of living in the OC by the beach. Dream fulfilled. Kelly and her husband, Michael; live in a four story waterfront beach house in Corona Del Mar with their daughter Jolie(who Kelly is trying to keep off the pole), her mother and brother live with them as well. With a full house, it’s no wonder Kelly keeps full bar on each floor of her home. But it’s clear Kelly’s time on the show won’t be all Martinis by the beach, as she befriends Vicki against Meghan’s wishes and starts her time on the on the wrong foot with another housewife.

Vicki Gunvalson/ Bravo NBC
Vicki Gunvalson/ Bravo NBC

Last but most OG is Vicki and how she moves on from the chaos her life has been since last year. Brooks is 100% out of the picture for Vicki but she still hasn’t had much communication or contact with the other ladies, leaving her stuck either alone in her Coto De Caza home or at work. But with Brooks out, Briana comes back into the picture as she begins the process of moving back into Orange County from Oklahoma. After accepting Heathers invitation to the Yacht Party, she meets and quickly hits it off with newbie Kelly, someone she has some sort of past connection or mutual friend with. But how Vicki moves forward with the other ladies is yet to be seen, the episode ends with a sincere apology from Vicki to Another housewife, will she be open and accepting, or demand more from the OG of the OC?

Tune in Monday night at 9pm EST to see…

Blind Item: Rumble Abroad

RUMBLE ABROAD
This group of Real Housewives recently took a trip that will air on its new season. Not only will the trip be one for the books, with its beautiful location, sight seeing, and excursions; it will also be one full of hooks! A major physical altercation took place between the newbie and another housewife while on a shopping spree. The group got kicked out. Unfortunately, cameras were not able to capture it all…

The Real Housewives of Potomac, who’s back and what I think!

image

Bravo just announced a slew of new and Returning shows set to air on its viewers TV screens throughout the next year. Among the list of returning shows is one of the newer installations of The Real Housewives Franchise; The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Reports about the shows second season are already plentiful and quite revealing. The Washington Post is reporting the show began filming earlier this week and that all of last seasons cast(Karen Huger, Katie Rost, Robyn Dixon, Gizelle Bryant, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, and Ashley Bolach-Darby) will be returning. Many viewers on Twitter responded with some confusion as I think we all thought that there would have been some changes or at least an addition. After sleeping on it, I now think this is a smart move. NOW, they’re housewives and they know it. They know what this is and what it entails. It’ll be THIS season that will give network executives and producers a real feel on what each of these ladies could deliver as a housewife. I also think it’s gonna be in this season that we REALLY get a better feel of who each of these women are. That said, there are some downs to not bringing in some new blood. Housewives tend to “want to play the game” as their time on these shows go on. By this I mean some tend to feel the need to deliver so they’ll start creating unnecessary drama, others tend to become more conscious of the whole thing so they start to censor themselves.
Whatever the outcome of this season ends up being, I’m actually very excited to see what direction the show takes for its second season and look forward to watching when the time comes!

Blind Item: Here comes the Bun

Lisa Vanderpump/ Bravo NBC
Lisa Vanderpump/ Bravo NBC

BLIND ITEM: While Rumors continue to TWIRL about a southern housewife who will not confirm nor deny being or not being pregnant, this NON-SOUTHERN housewife can’t say the same. She is running around town(or should I say, TOWNS) telling everyone about the Bun in her Oven. It’s a surprise nothing about it has leaked considering she’s told uber connected people about it. This will very much be a part of her storyline and explains why she’s been spending so much time with her husband who, before; she’d go up to weeks without seeing. It also explains certain things that have been happening on the show, production wise…

Exclusive: What to expect from #RHOD

The Real Housewives of Dallas, left to right: Cary Deuber, Brandi Redmond, LeeAnne Locken, Stephanie Hollman, and Tiffany Hendra/ Bravo NBC
The Real Housewives of Dallas, left to right: Cary Deuber, Brandi Redmond, LeeAnne Locken, Stephanie Hollman, and Tiffany Hendra/ Bravo NBC

It’s FINALLY here! The Real Housewives of Dallas premieres in just a few Hours and Let me tell you: this show is GREAT! I was lucky enough to have access to the press versions of the first two episodes and think it’s the perfect balance of fun, glamour, wealth, hustle and… Wait for it… DRAMA(or as I like to call it: Housewives Gasoline!). Of course you won’t be seeing the drink throwing on episode one BUT that will definitely be coming later. Below I’m breaking down what I thought each of the wives brought to the table and how it all shapes up. Here are my thoughts:

Brandi: her family has to be maybe the CUTEST housewives family of all time. She, her husband, and their two daughters are all red heads and have the same initials! She also appears to be VERY intuitive and knows when someone doesn’t like her and those around her, like her partner in crime Stephanie(you’ll see this on tonight’s episode). The two of them LOVE each other and LOVE their wine(or as they call it, Jesus juice). She’s not afraid to take the bull by the horns and to say EXACTLY what’s on her mind. It’s usually poop! To top it off, she used to work doing Logistics for the department of defense! Dying for her to spill some Government secrets BUT we all know the Feds have been watching housewives lately so I doubt she’ll be giving up too much about this former career. This Ginger will def be one to keep an eye on when it comes to the cast drama…

Stephanie: Stephanie has to be the sweetest housewife we’ve been introduced to in a while. She may be be living this glamorous life on the Four Seasons Golf course they live on BUT she definitely still has an innocent, small town mind and personality. I THINK Stephanie got the short end of the stick because to me it seems they edited her life the most in that they make her seem like this submissive wife and somewhat of a ditsy person BUT the editing is so clear that you will quickly know that’s not all there is to her or perhaps even not who she is at all. As a former social worker it is clear Stephanie is a naturally caring person. I will say her drive to drop her boys off at school will make those of us who don’t have kids never want to have them BUT I have a feeling she wouldn’t give up her life for anything else in the world. Poop is to Brandi what Fart is to Stephanie. I know it’s hard to understand from all I’ve said but she’s just EXTREMELY Lovable. And her laugh is infectious! This southern blonde loves her family and is an extremely loyal friend with a heart of GOLD.

Cary: Cary to me was the Dark Horse of the group! I knew I’d end up liking her and what not but was so surprised that in fact I actually ended up LOVING her. Yes I can go down the list on all the things we already know. She’s a wife. She’s a mother. She’s an educated woman with a successful career(you WILL be seeing her and her husband in full on surgery mode in their very first scene). She’s fabulous, fun, pretty. That’s all great. But what I loved was her sense of humor! I LOVED that she’s able to laugh at herself and at all the rumors about her in Dallas. I also love a lot of the faces she makes, pay close attention to her face throughout the episode! In episode two you’ll fall in love with her baby girl, Zurich; SHE’S FABULOUS!

LeeAnne: Many blogs have been describing LeeAnne as the “Nene” of Dallas. I will not be doing that. To me she is more of a Kenya and their lives are EXTREMELY similar. They both had issues with parent in their childhood which is why they were both raised by other family members. They were both Pageant girls. Both have never been married. Both don’t have any children. They both have interesting ways of describing their careers. That ALL Fine, 100% FINE! I also respect that SHE will tell viewers she does NOT have the way too many coins in the bank like some of the others. While that is clear, Housewives in general would still try to fake it. LeeAnne unfortunately loses me in how she is quick to label Stephanie, Brandi and Cary as women who have “married well”. It’s a slap in the face to Cary who had a super successful career before marrying Mark. It’s a slap in the face to Brandi who started dating her current husband back in EIGHTH grade when all he probably had in his love was his lunch money. And it’s a slap in the face to Stephanie who was a social worker before getting married and now plays a role in her husbands company. She also loses me in the way she describes her role in the charity world for a moment in the episode as it being the thing that grants her entrance into the high society of Dallas. To me that sounds like she’s doing it for all the wrong reasons and I think some of her cast members may agree(stay tuned!). She will be another one to watch when it comes to the drama, that’s for sure…

Tiffany: Tiffany was ACTUALLY the biggest disappointment to me! She’s GORGEOUS. Like she could easily be one of the prettiest housewives EVER. And her husband is quite the Australian hottie. Unfortunately for her it could just be one of the things were editing chopped a lot out and it left me with more questions about her than the ones I had before hand. Her life isn’t REALLY shown till episode two which automatically leaves you wondering about that aspect of her after episode one ends(it’s unusual for this to be done but I guess they had to find a way to introduce them all AND include two big events in one episode). That’s out of her control. She tries explaining her life in LA and the low points in it BUT doesn’t go into enough detail for you to REALLY feel for her. This too it out of her control as it was probably edited down(I’m sure it will be discussed later on with more explanation which I’m looking forward to cause y’all know I love a rock bottom/comeback story). So that automatically leaves you a bit lost on her. What’s damaging for her IMO is her connection to LeeAnne. In their friendship it’s as if Tiffany were LeeAnnes pet or something. Everything Tiffany likes in a store, LeeAnne hates. It also seems like Tiffany wouldn’t be SO into the charity stuff if it weren’t for LeeAnne. I HOPE that for her sake their friendship is later in shown as a two way street, equal, fair one rather than what I’ve seen so far or poor Tiffany is gonna be titled the “puppet” or “lapdog” by viewers and I feel she has potential to do SOME Great things and use the show for her advantage. All in all I’m sitting on making any decisions on Tiffany as of yet…

Marie: Marie is the Official Friend of the housewives and I think this is another one I’ll be sitting on for a few episodes. As a ‘friend of’ she’s already someone we know will be shown less of BUT she does hold one of the two big events showcased on episode one. She’s also someone they ALL speak of as being in the highest of the Dallas social circles. Her home is the setting for MANY of the exclusive events that take place in Dallas(this house must have it’s own gravitational pull cause it is MASSIVE, it’s very elegant). While she’s brought in as LeeAnnes friend(as we know from my interview with her for this blog they have been friends for close to 20 years and has known Tiffany for a while too), we REALLY don’t see too much of them together. In fact, in later episodes we see her hanging out with LeeAnne and Tiffanys opposites, Brandi and Stephanie). It says a lot that she was able to snatch an official “friend of” title seeing as that’s pretty rare for a first season and SO MANY people filmed in secondary roles. What we do know is that somehow, she is at the CENTER of the drama later on in the season. I cannot wait for that!

And that’s ALL you’ll be getting from me for now, I will try to do another one of these little preview thoughts for episode two next Monday. I love this show and hope you all do too! My recap will be up tomorrow and I cannot WAIT for this season to continue airing as it already is, for me atleast; a huge success! It’s one you’re gonna WANT to set to DVR cause you WONT want to miss a beat…

Blind Item: West Coast Diva

Lisa Vanderpump/ Bravo NBC
Lisa Vanderpump/ Bravo NBC

BLIND ITEM:

“This West Coast Real Housewife is a total diva behind the scenes. She is not an Original and she’s really not that interesting. She’s become very filtered and very censored. Yet despite all this, she is treated by production and the network like the star of the show and has an incredible amount of pull and say in a lot of different parts of it. Last year she pulled an entire scene out because it made her look bad and she is very protective of her image after looking not too good in the past. Some of the other housewives, including an original; have noticed Yet they seem to either be ok with it, not care, or not want to be the one to say it.”

Exclusive: #RHOD Cary Deuber Interview

Cary Deuber/ Bravo NBC
Cary Deuber/ Bravo NBC

Described by Bravo as a yogi(practitioner of Yoga) with a Type A personality, Cary Deuber is sure to be the balancing act of The Real Housewives of Dallas. The Wife and working mommy is one of the five main housewives of the show. After my lovely convo with Official ‘Friend of the Housewives‘ Marie Reyes, I decided to chat with Cary and get some more info on the latest Housewives Installment(Which premieres Aprill 11 at 10)!

How did you end up on this show(The Real Housewives of Dallas)?
A casting company contacted me through a friend, and the rest is history!

Was there any hesitation in doing the show?
I was nervous about putting everything out there. My husband Mark was much more relaxed about it. I was shocked at how open he was to this adventure.

Stephanie Hollman and Cary Deuber/ Instagram
Stephanie Hollman and Cary Deuber/ Instagram

What, if any; was your connection to this group of ladies prior to the
show?
I knew Stephanie through a charity event that I chaired. She was such a sweetie and reached out to me after the event. She told me what a great job I did and how much she enjoyed the event. No one does that!! It was SO thoughtful. I also knew LeeAnne through the charity world, although we did not run in the same crowd. I met Brandi through Stephanie and loved her immediately. Anyone who can make me laugh like that girl can, is a friend for life!

What was the VERY first scene you filmed and what was running through your
head as the cameras were rolling?
UGH… It was a scene at my house with Mark and our daughter Zuri. I remember after it was over and everyone left, I went to my bedroom and had completely lost it. I was so scared I made a bad decision for my family.

Did you feel any pressure to look your best for the cameras?                                          I usually roll out of bed and hit the ground running. I wear scrubs to work and a hat during surgery. There is really no point doing my hair and makeup on work days! I definitely had to step up my game and at least shower! Mark is the shopper and always finds some reason to buy something. This was an excuse for him for sure.

Your Bravo Profile mentions some of the many charities you work with, if you were asked to join Celebrity Apprentice what charity or foundation would you play for?
I would play for the Doris Daniely Outreach. It is a small local charity that my husband and I work with that provides breast reconstruction surgery to women that can’t afford it. That would give them the opportunity to cover the costs for more surgeries and Mark and I could do some of them as well.

If you could join the cast of any of the other shows in the Real Housewives
Franchise, which would it be and Why?
RHOBH I love the weather and the real estate!

If you could be another Housewife for a day, who would itbe? Why?                    LVP! Primarily because I want to play with all of her pets!

If you could, What destination would you pick for the cast trip next season?
Travel is my thing!! LOVE it! I’m in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I would love to check out the Philippines. There is a sick Aman resort there, I love Aman anything! I could also go for skiing in St Moritz, Switzerland. Mark and I go there every year in the summer. I would love to go in the winter and ski!

You currently work with your plastic surgeon husband, Dr. Mark Deuber; serving as his operative assistant, while still maintaining your own
aesthetic injectable practice: what’s it like to work with your spouse and what
effect does that have on your relationship? Also, how were you able to balance
doing all of that on top of being a mother and doing the show?
It was challenging. I already juggle a lot and I am completely type A. I don’t do anything half ass. It is all or nothing with me. I’m lucky that I’m married to my boss so he tends to be more forgiving with my schedule!

Let’s play a little game of Word Association, give us a few words to describe these ladies…
Brandi Redmond: Funny as hell
Stephanie Hollman: Loyal & kind
Tiffany Hendra: Exotic beauty
Nene Leakes: Made it happen
Ramona Singer: Wine
Vicki Gunvalson: Staying power
Marie Reyes: Good friend
LeeAnne Locken: In your face

Is there anything in particular that you’re MOST looking forward to having the
Viewers see on the show?
I think I am excited for the viewers to see that I am a working mom. I juggle my daughter, my step kids, husband, career, and taking care of myself with my yoga. The struggle is real, and I think a lot of women will be able to relate to many aspects of my life if not all of them.

Is there anything in particular that you’re LEAST looking forward to having the viewers see on the show?                    That’s a hard question because I haven’t seen any of the show so I have no idea what is included. I would have to say the arguments between cast mates. It got a little ugly at times.

If asked to do another season of the show, would you do it?             I think so… I think a second season would be more fun and I would know what to expect.

That’s a wrap! I loved chatting with Cary about the show, her life, career. I truly think Cary is a sweetheart and, with her East Coast background; I’m sure she’ll be a standout next to the southern ladies on RHOD. Be sure to follow the Connecticut beauty on Twitter and Instagram(@CaryDeuber on both) for live tweets, updates and behind the scenes fun and, of course; tune into the Premiere of The Real Housewives of Dallas on April 11!

Kim Fields, Leaving RHOA

“Get in and get out!” those are the facts of Kim Fields Real Housewife life. The actress confirmed while calling into The Rickey Smiley Morning Show that she would NOT be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta next season.
Many were surprised last summer when reports came out that the former child star would be Joining the hit Bravo show. Some voiced that they thought it would be a step down for the actress, while others thought she’d be perfect for the show.
General consensus, as the show has aired; has been that her addition the the cast has been lackluster and that Kim would be a one season wonder(or lack thereof). Kim at many times acknowledged that she wasn’t really fitting in, and was even called out by Kenya during the cast trip to Jamaica on being a “snooze fest”.

That said: it seems, from what we’ve seen on the reunion so far; that Kim really delivered and brought it. I myself wondered if she was possibly trying to make sure she earned another season as I know the show can pay well(reports speculated that the reason behind Kim joining to begin with was financial difficulties) and money talks. However, I believe she’s known she was gonna leave after this season and was maybe just making sure viewers memory of her time on the show was different from the “snooze fest” title she has been given. Your Housewife legacy is EVERYTHING! You have to make sure you leave viewers wanting more of you JUST INCASE you even need to make a return.
